Things are deteriorating in China
Meanwhile, Chinese health officials, who are facing the toughest phase ever due to the Omicron variant of Corona, described the situation as serious and complicated. According to national health officials, since March 1, there have been more than 56,000 cases of infection in the country. More than half of these cases have come from north-eastern Jilin province and include asymptomatic cases. The case of Hong Kong is not included in this.
Wu Junyu, an infectious disease expert at China’s Centers for Disease Control (CDC), said that China is working towards following the zero-covid policy, as it is the most effective prevention strategy against Kovid-19. Elimination of the hidden danger of the epidemic is possible only with this policy.
