In our ambitious strategy for 2024, one of our initiatives is to establish a MAKEEN Energy Academy to ensure continuous and easily accessible learning opportunities for everyone in the group. We contracted with a Danish LMS supplier in Autumn 2021 and are now looking for an E-learning Graphic Designer in India to help us move on to the next step.
Your key responsibilities
Together with our E-learning Design Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing meaningful and interactive e-learning modules for the LMS. Our Design Specialist will take care of the Instructional Design and most of the basic creation of content. You will, however, also help in converting the design documents into e-learning modules with the help of an authoring tool (inbuilt in LMS or external). After the design process, you will take over and optimize the entire graphical design and experience (audio, video, image, animation, infographics, interactive visual content, etc.) The optimization process may be based on requests from the Design Specialist and the subject matter experts, and/or on your own professional inputs, knowledge, and quality standards.
We are in the energy sector, and many of our training modules will provide our employees with knowledge of technical character; You will, however, also be asked to make content for compliance training, sales training, onboarding of new employees, etc. No matter the content, you will always have great support from our subject matter experts.
Specifically, you will:
Work closely with the design specialist and SME’s to brainstorm on visual solutions, clarify expectations and scope, share feedback on the design and make required changes to the course.
Assist the E-learning Design Specialist in converting Instructional Design Document/ Storyboard into eLearning material/ self-paced content.
Use different features on the authoring tool to deliver high quality learning experience.
Test and troubleshoot the course using a hosting platform.
Be our visual quality assurance expert – from fonts to images, you ensure that every component aligns with our brand image to create a cohesive look and feel.
You will report directly to our E-learning Project Manager in India and continuously be in close contact with the Head of Group People & Culture in Denmark. You will work from home and all communication will take place online, via Teams.
We are looking for an independent, self-disciplined and self-motivated person who will take full ownership of his/her tasks and fully understand the purpose and vision of the position. It’s important that you are able to understand the needs of your customers, proactively come up with ideas for improvements and actively listen to their feedback to your design proposals.
You should be able to work on several tasks simultaneously, and still meet your agreed deadlines.
Furthermore, we would like you to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
Minimum 4+ years of experience in managing end to end projects on the development of eLearning courses in authoring tools like Articulate Rise, Storyline etc., preferably in a corporate context where you have been used to work with a professional, streamlined, and modern design for adults.
Experience in developing eLearning material for various segments (example soft skill, L&D, Product based training etc.)
Knowledge & proficiency with multiple authoring tools other than articulate (can be authoring tool, micro learning tool, video maker, etc.).
Experience in working with and integrating multiple media formats – text, video, audio etc.
Experience in authoring, reviewing & testing a course in an LMS host.
Knowledge of SCORM compliance
Knowledge about making eLearning courses more accessible (desirable)
Knowledge of tools: Storyline 360, Rise, Captivate, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, MS Office (especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Google Slides, Docs, Sheets, Audition/Audacity, motion graphic (Adobe Premiere, Aftereffects)
You will become part of a large, global team, and it is therefore important that you have excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language and can be flexible and comfortable working in different time zones, geographies, and cultures.
