Glance USA: Glance is now making foray into US market, scaling fast on back of its unique partnership strategy with leading telcos in US. We are looking for the first few entrepreneurial leaders and domain experts with passion to build Glance and Roposo in US from scratch and scale to millions of users at an exceptionally fast pace.
Position Overview: We are looking for Lead Creative Designer to lead the design charter of lock screen for USA market. The person would be overall responsible to recruit, train & develop design team, own all lock screen designs & content-based designs for both video & text content, be responsible for overall context-based design guidelines for the USA market. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to lead a design team of a product where the images & the visuals are the main highlights of the overall experience.
Deeply understand design guidelines wrt OEM/telecom partners as we are a lock screen first product and adhere by those guidelines in all content publishing
Keen understanding & grasp of the designing process for full screen vertical visuals (static, gifs, videos) for mobile screen either by editing images via partnerships or designing new creatives when required.
Keen view on design landscape especially news and sports in USA; study the video first mobile content platforms & innovate on best practices to make our designs work the best.
Recruit, train & develop a stellar team of inhouse designers for execution
Create an organizational structure, hiring plan and execute it 1-2 months for the launch of Glance in USA
Maintain rosters, manage daily operations in designing and publishing to be able to publish 7 days a week, 365 days
Work with editorial team daily to get the design prerequisites for a particular content piece & provide the appropriate design for it within a stipulated time.
Make the publishers partners get adapted to the Glance Publishing software’s with assistance from design team.
Become well-versed with Glance’s CMS and creation tools and focus on producing high scale of quality content & design
Know how to rework the designs, elements & creative for social media publishing or for brand or growth marketing
Generate reports on best creatives which are performing and provide recommendations to improve upon the design process
Coordinate with product team to test out AI led automated products which help in increasing creatives liquidity and diversity.
Help provide meaningful insights about user preferences, creative & content ideas based on observations about content consumption; help design growth experiments based on these insights and drive personalization
Work on defining the GTM for mega products of Glance like Glance Live, Roposo in the due course with the larger team and multiple stakeholders
Ensure campaigns are completed with high quality and on schedule
Establish creative direction for the company within the overall brand guidelines
6-8 years of designing experience with the ability to understand scale of millions of users
Be a USA content junkie across news, sports, entertainment, gaming, and other relevant categories
Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or related field
Strong portfolio demonstrating the breadth of design, digital media, and motion design.
Strong visual aesthetics in design, colour, typography, and composition.
Advanced software skills of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, and other motion graphics tools. Skill set in 3D and other related verticals will be a plus; Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred.
Previous experience of leading a design team for creative projects would be a plus
In-depth knowledge of audio editing, colour grading, videography, animation, etc along with experience in conceptualizing and implementation using relevant tools.
Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate ambiguity and enjoys working in a collaborative, iterative, and agile process.
You are a graphic designer and love a fast-paced environment. You also like to have fun, think big, and take chances
Deep knowledge of graphic-design principles and formats; ability to identify, set and articulate design standards.
Clear and substantiated understanding of branding principles, particularly as they relate to graphic identity and design standards; ability to interpret brand guidelines.
Great interpersonal communications skills, including active listening skills and skills to work effectively within teams and to effectively provide advanced design advice and consultation to clients on all aspects of visual communications.
