Senior Behavioural Data Scientist
The Designer will be working with the Centre’s Research Vertical. The role would involve:
Designing a visually delightful and easy-to-use mobile application that is being developed for social impact indicators
Supporting financial inclusion research by using human-centred design tools and and methods to create innovative and high impact approaches to systemic challenges, such as design principles for digital payment apps for vulnerable users
Conducting human-centred design research including planning research, ideation, synthesis and prototyping
Creating user-centred designs by understanding requirements from the data analytics team on the application’s vision
Creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes and UI mockups that clearly illustrate how the application functions
Translating requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns and attractive user interfaces
Designing UI elements such as input controls, navigational components and informational components
Creating original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
Skills and Qualifications Required
You have a degree/diploma in Design, Fine Arts, Engineering or a related field
You have an HCD track record: worked at design agencies, with design teams, or on design projects
You have applied design thinking approaches in the real world and are eager to dive deeper. You have a strong baseline familiarity with design methods and are committed to refining your craft.
You have prior experience as a UI/UX Designer as well as a strong portfolio of related projects
You are proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
You are proficient in prototyping tools such as Sketch, InVision, etc.
You pay strong attention to detail and have a keen eye for aesthetics
Location and Days of Work
This role is based in India. Hence, the candidate should have work authorisation in India (preferably Indian citizenship or Overseas Citizenship of India). This will be a contract position, for a duration of 6 months.
Remuneration is competitive with the sector but may vary subject to the candidate’s professional qualifications and work experience.
